About this place

A historic city whose urban and mining heritage is closely linked to Cerro Rico.

Potosí’s heritage connects its historic city with silver-mining infrastructure. The Casa de la Moneda and Cerro Rico help explain the relationship between production, urban life and colonial history.

Planning your visit

Distinguish a city walk from a mining activity: this page neither includes nor recommends mine entry. For cultural visits, confirm each venue’s arrangements separately and leave time between scheduled admissions.

Practical information for this place is still under review. We do not have confirmed opening hours or admission fees to publish here. Check current opening hours, admission fees and access arrangements directly with the venue or its management before travelling.
