Plan your trip
Start with the places you want to see. Then check transport, access arrangements and up-to-date information for each visit.
1. Choose a region before adding destinations
Start with one of the nine departments on the map. Open the places that interest you and save a short list. The catalogue groups places by department, not travel time: two places in the same region may need separate transfers. Decide which visits matter most and which you could leave for another trip.
2. Turn favourites into a workable plan
Check where each visit starts and ends, how you will get there and how you will return. A map button appears only when the page has location information. If it is missing, do not guess an entrance from a photograph: confirm it with the venue or operator. Website favourites stay in this browser; they are not bookings and do not sync with the app.
3. Confirm arrangements before booking
Ask about opening hours, admission, included services, tour languages and restrictions. Contact the museum directly, or SERNAP and the relevant management for protected areas. If a festival or market is central to your trip, check the calendar for the correct year. We do not present estimated prices or durations as confirmed facts.
4. Check information for your circumstances
Entry requirements depend on your circumstances: consult immigration authorities and the relevant consulate. Use official sources and professional advice for travel and health guidance. This guide helps organise destinations; it does not replace immigration, medical or emergency information.
5. Respect the places you visit
Follow authorised routes and local instructions. Ask permission before photographing people, leave heritage objects in place and take your rubbish with you. Follow staff guidance on distance from wildlife. If a condition is unclear, ask before entering or booking an activity.
